New CEO appointed

3 Dec 2021

A PASSIONATE local is returning home to lead the region’s premier charity.
Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation chairman Dr Ken Chapman was pleased to announce that Gina Hogan has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer.
“Gina is a local originally with extensive leadership experience and the Foundation board and I believe she’s going to be an incredible asset in leading the team,” Dr Chapman said.
“She is well known locally, having previously been the General Manager of Southern Cross Austereo in Cairns but she then went on to the manage the much larger equivalent in Perth and most recently she’s been the Chief Operating Officer of a multi-million dollar company,” he said.
Mrs Hogan said Far North Queensland was where her heart is and she is excited to settle with her family and contribute to the community.
“2022 will make 25 years of operation for the Foundation, which has made a significant contribution to health care across the region,” Ms Hogan said.
“Thanks to generous donors, they’ve been able to provide much-needed funding for state-of-the-art equipment, facilities, education, training and research,” she said.
“While the quality of health care in FNQ has improved, there is much work to do and I am ready to join the passionate team that does the work.”
Mrs Hogan will start the role in 2022.
