We were thrilled to announce that the local community raised an impressive $423,000 to elevate endoscopy services to an advanced level in Far North Queensland.
Previously, cancer patients in our region faced lower survival rates compared to those in capital cities. However, with the new state-of-the-art equipment funded by this campaign, our already efficient endoscopy team became one of the best in the state overnight.
Now, hundreds of patients can undergo essential diagnostic and treatment procedures right here at home, without the need to travel south. This achievement brings us one step closer to ensuring that every person in our region has access to the highest quality healthcare.
