Jenny joins fundraising

17 Mar 2026

We’re delighted to welcome Jenny Coates to the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation team as our new Fundraising and Marketing Manager.
Jenny brings a wealth of experience across fundraising partnerships, marketing and community engagement, having worked extensively within the not-for-profit, health and education sectors. Throughout her career, she has built a strong reputation for developing meaningful, long-term relationships with donors, partners and community stakeholders – relationships that translate into tangible outcomes and lasting impact.
In her new role, Jenny will lead the Foundation’s fundraising, marketing and events activities, playing a key role in growing awareness and support for initiatives that enhance patient care, support vital research and improve hospital facilities across Far North Queensland. Her strategic approach, combined with a genuine passion for community connection, will help ensure our work continues to make a real difference where it’s needed most.
Jenny will be working closely with Glenys Duncombe, who has recently transitioned from the Fundraising and Marketing Manager role into a new position as Relationships Manager. This new structure reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening donor and partner relationships, with Glenys focusing on nurturing and growing these important connections, while Jenny leads the overall fundraising and marketing strategy.
Together they will support our supporters, partners and community to remain engaged and connected to the life-changing work they help make possible.
Mrs Coates said she was incredibly honoured to join the Foundation and work alongside such a dedicated team.
“Supporting initiatives that improve health care for communities across our region is something I’m very proud to be part of,” Mrs Coates said.
