Name: Genty Ginn

What’s your background: I grew up in Atherton. With my late husband’s work we were transferred around Australia. Our last posting was Melbourne. I have been back in Cairns for 13 years.
When and why did you join the Foundation’s team: I have been back in B Block information desk for 12 years. I became a volunteer through my neighbour many years ago.
Star sign: Taurus
Family: I have two sons and three granddaughters.
Interests: Walking, shopping, going to live shows at CPAC. I am also involved with the Salvation Army. We have a ladies group who meet once a week. At Christmas time we help pack hamper packs for the people who need help.
What do you enjoy about your role here: I enjoy the friendship and the smiles of people when you are able to help them. I always hve a laugh when people ask me if they could have my purple turbans!
