Foundation wins innovation award

5 Feb 2024

The Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation has won the 2023 Cairns Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award for Innovation!
At the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation, while accolades are not our driving force, this award provides an invaluable platform to spread our message and vision for superior health care in FNQ.
Some may not instantly associate "innovation" with our Foundation, but it is undeniably at the heart of our approach. We see ourselves as custodians of a legacy, always with an eye towards future sustainability.
Our commitment to diverse social enterprises means we can proudly state that no administrative fees are taken from our donors, ensuring more funds directly support our community. In recent times, especially amidst global crises, we witnessed our community's profound resilience and innovative spirit. We adapted by harnessing technology to engage with donors, sponsors, and the community and revisited our strategies.
To the Cairns Chamber of Commerce, thank you for orchestrating such an outstanding event. Our gratitude also extends to the Cairns Regional Council for sponsoring our category.
We are extremely grateful to all those who support us in the community.
