Trinity triumphs

Four hundred and five thousand dollars was raised at the Trinity Advisory Cairns Christmas Luxe Luncheon in late November.
The team of the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation was overjoyed and profoundly grateful when the Trinity Advisory Cairns Christmas Luxe Luncheon donors raised the staggering sum of money at Little Sister restaurant.
Foundation CEO Gina Hogan said collectively, an incredible $861, 000 had been raised over four years the event has been held, all thanks to the relentless efforts and generous hearts of those involved.
“We want to extend our deepest appreciation to Trinity Advisory owners Rod and Sue Sherrington, their wonderful family, and their incredibly hard-working team. They didn’t just meet their ambitious $300, 000 target; they soared past it, leaving us all in awe. Their dedication, involving months of meticulous planning, emailing, calling, and negotiating, has culminated in this spectacular result,” Mrs Hogan said.
“Rod's personal journey through health challenges and his family’s unwavering support exemplify turning adversity into a powerful force for community good. Their story is not just inspiring; it’s a testament to the strength and compassion that lies within our community.”
Mr Sherrington said it was a fun and amazing event.
“We love showing support back to the community that shows us so much support. I’d really like to thank our clients, who donated to the Foundation as their tickets to attend, they’ve donated significant cash and bought auction items. They know they’re doing so well because of the support they’ve received from the community and they’re very happy to give that support back,” Mr Sherrington said.
