RIP Ed

29 Sep 2023

Our team of staff and volunteers were saddened recently to hear of the passing of our colleague and friend, Ed Diniz, who passed away.
Ed had suffered from prolonged illness in recent years , we will all miss him more than words can express.
He came to us because he was motivated to help others because of his own heart condition and having to travel to Townsville for treatment.
He volunteered at many events, including the CityLife dinner, Advance Cairns dinner, NuNu Melbourne Cup, also in cardiac rehab and then started volunteering and then
working at the cafe – again because he wanted to help others.
He was a special individual who made his mark and will be missed.
