About Us
Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation is a non-profit charitable organisation that supports Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, or in geographical terms – from Tully to the Torres Strait. The Foundation's commercial activities cover ALL its administrative costs ensuring every dollar donated goes where it is intended.

Vision
Superior Health Care in Far North Queensland

Purpose
To contribute to improvement in the quality of health care in Far North Queensland through the funding of modern equipment, facilities, education, training and research and through the provision of support services.

About the Role
We are seeking expression of interests for a non-executive voluntary board member position who have a great understanding of the NFP Sector and who have the skills to innovate and grow our business.

Our Board meets eight times a year and has three Sub-Committees which provide oversight of the high risk areas in our organisation.

Key Responsibilities include:
•    Strategic Planning
•    Governance & Stewardship
•    Compliance & Risk

Position Requirements:
•    Extensive experience in any of the following disciplines would be highly regarded
      o    Marketing,
      o    Digital Media,
      o    Communications; and
      o    Legal.
•    Demonstrated management skills;
•    Experience in leadership & strategic planning;
•    A passion to contribute to contribute to our growth and sustainability.
•    Governance skills (AICD grad. highly regarded).
•    Criminal history & insolvency checks apply.
