Help for Herberton

10 Dec 2019

THE tiny community of Herberton is throwing big support behind its hospital, now that a local Friends of the Hospital Foundation group is hard at work.
The Herberton Friends group was thrilled to raise almost $1000 at a Christmas raffle, recently.
Friends president Lorraine Chidgey said all funds raised would be used to improve equipment and services at Herberton Hospital.
“In the past few months we funded, along with a generous donation from the Herberton Lioness Club, the regeneration and upgrade of the Herberton Hospital gardens, especially the sensory gardens visited by the residents,” Mrs Chidgey said.
The Herberton Friends of the Foundation is eager to hear from any potential new members – both male and female. Contact the committee on 0418884880.
Congratulations to the winners and a huge thanks to the generous businesses for supplying the gift vouchers.
The winning tickets were drawn by: Herberton Hospital Director of Nursing Deanne Hellsten at their Christmas morning tea on Monday, December 2.
First prize: gift vouchers from local and neighbouring businesses value $350. Ticket: C01713 won by Sharon Linwood.
Second prize: gift vouchers to the value of $220. Ticket: C01803 won by Sally Dudley.
Third prize: gift vouchers to the value of $110. Ticket: C01612 won by Kate Prout.
